All Church Fall Festival & BBQ

Link

Everyone is invited to the ALL CHURCH FALL FESTIVAL & BBQ next Sunday, October 18, after church at Frontier Ranch. The staff took a short field trip to Frontier Ranch this week and rediscovered the possibilities – there are two ping pong tables, regular foosball, human foosball (whatever that is), disc golf, carpet ball (again, ???) and a huge lawn for bocci ball, 3 legged races, etc. There will be bingo and a cupcake walk for all ages and, of course, music and food! We’ll supply and BBQ the hot dogs. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. We’ll head over after church, start up by 12:30 and go until around 2:30.

Directions from church: Take Mt. Hermon Rd. past Lockwood Lane, turn right onto Lockhart Gulch Rd. Continue on Lockhart Gulch to the Mission Springs Camp & Conference Center at Cathedral Drive and turn right. Stay on Cathedral Drive through the conference center and drive up the hill. Turn right on Frontier Road at the fork in the road. Frontier Ranch is at the end of Frontier Road. There is plenty of parking on Freemy Circle and also at the top of Frontier Road. If you are unable to make the hike down the hill, have the driver drop you off. There is some parking at the bottom if needed.

WINGS – DO YOU BELIEVE WE CAN END HOMELESSNESS?

This Summit was attended by almost 250 community members who came to learn more about homelessness, discuss its impacts, hear about innovative solutions taking form in other communities and establishing a plan for greater community engagement and action.
