Annual Congregational Business Meeting Sunday, January 31, after worship. Members, please plan to attend; all are welcome. Childcare will be provided.
For lunch, the youth will serve soup/salad for a fundraiser for the youth group summer mission trip. The annual meeting will begin directly after lunch.

What’s Happening at Community Covenant

Adult Bible Study, Tuesday, January 19, 10:00 am, Fireside Room

Youth Groups will RESUME Sunday, January 24, 6 pm (middle school) 6:45 pm (high school). Dinner will be provided. Meet at church.

ECC Midwinter Conference in Chicago, Monday, January 25 – Friday, January 29. Pastors Jeremiah and Brian will be attending.

Annual Congregational Business Meeting, Sunday, January 31, after church. There will be a Short Term Mission Youth Fundraiser soup/salad lunch right after church. The meeting will begin shortly thereafter. Everyone is welcome to stay for the meeting; members please plan to attend.

Women’s Breakfast, Monday, February 1, 8:30 am, at Auntie Mame’s in Scotts Valley. (The Women’s Breakfast is usually held the fourth Monday of the month).

December at Community Covenant

Faith Communities Shelter Program – Heather Hedstrom is collecting small wrapped Christmas presents & cards for the (approximately) 20 people in the Faith Communities Shelter Program. Since July, Heather & Erik have been serving a meal to the group of homeless individuals who are sheltered at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church on the third Saturday night of the month. The plan is to collect new Christmas presents & cards (coffee house gift cards or movie passes for instance) and give them to the group on Saturday, December 19th. Christmas presents and cards can be given to Heather & Erik or delivered to Community Covenant Church prior to the 17th of December. Please contact the office 831-438-4276 if you are able to provide a gift or are interested in participating.

This Saturday, October 17, at 5:30 pm is the Faith Communities Shelter at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church on Scotts Valley Drive. Please contact Heather Hedstrom if you are interested in joining Heather & Erik to serve dinner to a group of 16-20 homeless individuals.

Everyone is invited to the ALL CHURCH FALL FESTIVAL & BBQ this Sunday, October 18, after church at Frontier Ranch. Here are the scheduled activities:
12:30 Lunch
1:00 Games & Races
1:30 Cupcake Walk
2:00 Bingo

That is only the scheduled activities! There is ping pong, carpet ball, disc golf, and human foosball! We’ll supply and BBQ the hot dogs. Please bring a side dish to share. We’ll head over after church, start up by 12:30 and go until around 2:30. This is really an ALL CHURCH event, not a Mission Springs event or a children’s event. We want everyone to come!!

All Church Fall Festival & BBQ

Everyone is invited to the ALL CHURCH FALL FESTIVAL & BBQ next Sunday, October 18, after church at Frontier Ranch.The staff took a short field trip to Frontier Ranch this week and rediscovered the possibilities – there are two ping pong tables, regular foosball, human foosball (whatever that is), disc golf, carpet ball (again, ???) and a huge lawn for bocci ball, 3 legged races, etc. There will be bingo and a cupcake walk for all ages and, of course, music and food! We’ll supply and BBQ the hot dogs. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. We’ll head over after church, start up by 12:30 and go until around 2:30.

Directions from church: Take Mt. Hermon Rd. past Lockwood Lane, turn right onto Lockhart Gulch Rd. Continue on Lockhart Gulch to the Mission Springs Camp & Conference Center at Cathedral Drive and turn right. Stay on Cathedral Drive through the conference center and drive up the hill. Turn right on Frontier Road at the fork in the road. Frontier Ranch is at the end of Frontier Road. There is plenty of parking on Freemy Circle and also at the top of Frontier Road. If you are unable to make the hike down the hill, have the driver drop you off. There is some parking at the bottom if needed.
